Messi best matches Inter Miami lists Messi, Suarez, Busquets, Alba and 8 more players as protected ahead of MLS expansion draft

Inter Miami has placed Lionel Messi on its protected list ahead of the MLS expansion draft. In total, the list of 12 players, in addition to Messi, includes Luis Suarez, Sergi Busquets, Jordi Alba, Drake Callender, Tomas Aviles, Hector Martinez, Yannick Bright, Federico Redondo, Robert Taylor, Leonardo Campana and Facundo Farias.
In addition, 8 team players with homegrown status were automatically included in the protected list. Among them are Benha Cremaschi and Ian Frey.
The MLS expansion draft will take place on Thursday night Moscow time. San Diego will be the league`s 30th club.
