Font on Messi: Laporta used him, we are working on a reconciliation project. Victor Font, Joan Laporta`s rival in Barcelona`s presidential elections, accused the former head of the club of not keeping Lionel Messi in the team.
You used him [Messi] in 2021. If we look at those who demand change or want a different Barcelona. . . Messi wants change. Javi wants change. The former president is only talking about the work already done.
We are happy about the reconciliation with Messi. Reconciliation will begin to become a reality in three days. We have been working on a future project with Messi based on three pillars.
Firstly, we would be happy if Messi represented the club as honorary president. Secondly, this is related to generating income; the break with Messi cost the club a lot of money. We have an open wound, he cried inconsolably right in front of you.
And thirdly, Messi, the sporting director and Flick will decide what is the best farewell: he could play several matches, Font said.
