Six-time Grand Slam champion Boris Becker, who is serving a prison sentence in the UK, will be deported to Germany.
In April, Becker was convicted of violating bankruptcy laws and hiding assets. In May he was transferred to Huntercombe Prison in Oxfordshire. The Sun reports that Becker will be released in December.
His candidacy was approved as part of a program that allows foreign prisoners to be sent home to reduce the burden on British prisons.
He got into the program, which means that he will return home by Christmas, a prison source told the publication.
The Early Release Program allows any foreign national serving a fixed term and subject to removal from the UK to leave prison and be deported up to 12 months before the earliest release date.
