A late goal saved Borussia D in Italy

Borussia (Dortmund) eliminates Atalanta in one of the most tied pairs of the 1/16-finals of League Europe after a 1-1 draw in Italy. Peter Schooger`s team was close to dropping after a 83-minute loss with 0:1 but a left-back goal Marcel Schmelzer sent the yellow-black in the next phase.

Atalanta dominated seriously the rest and led by Rafael Toloy, but it was not enough for the final success. In the 11th minute, Mattia Caldara headed for Rafael Toloy after cornering from a corner and the Brazilian found the score. In this way, the Defender largely redeemed his guilt for the many mistakes made in Germany. The hosts continued to be more active and Gomez shouted dangerously, and then Brian Cristiante could not get close to his head. In the middle of the half-time Goetze`s goal was canceled because of an ambush, and then De Roon almost dropped his own goal.
