Ivanovic and Errani with quick wins in Monterrey

The first and second placed of the tournament in Monterrey, Mexico, Ana Ivanovic and Sara Errani showed a class and they are in the quarterfinals.

The leader in the scheme Ivanovic has played again in the night session. This time she had no problems and she beat Pauline Parmantie from France with 6: 3, 6: 2.

Next rival of the Serbian star is again French. She is Kristina Mladenovic, who has eliminated the former No2 in the world Vera Zvonareva of Russia with 6: 4, 6: 2.

The Italian Errani has eliminated the Hungarian qualifier Timea Babos with 6: 3, 6: 3. Both of them have played for the second time in Monterey. In 2012 Babos beat in the semi-finals and then won her first and the only title of the tournament WTA.

"Honestly, I thought about our last meeting. I don`t remember too much, it has been years ago.
So I focused on the game today and I am happy that I managed to win," admitted Sara.
On the quarter-final Errani expects the winner the match between No5 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova from Russia and the Sweden Johanna Larsson.

In the longest match of the day the eighth placed Slovakian Magdalena Rybarikova saved four match points in the tiebreak of the third set before she has overpowered Polona Herzog from Slovenia with 7: 5, 3: 6, 7: 6 (9), after almost 3 hours of play.
